Florence Falls can be accessed by sealed road (15-min walking trail). It is near the northern boundary of the Litchfield National Park in the Northern Territory of Australia. It is a spectacular and famous waterfall set amidst the monsoon forest cascaded into a swimming hole and is open al year round.

There is a 160-step staircase to the swimming area, but if visitors who don’t wish to swim can go to the viewing platform at the top of the Florence falls. It cascades into a lagoon that is approximately the size of a couple of Olympic swimming pools with varying depths. If you want peace and tranquility, then going here during the dry season is not recommended since there many tourists visit this place.

There are two waterfalls flowing into the deep pool. Palms and cycads shade the rocks where visitors can sit on. About one minute walk to the falls lookout and 5 minutes from the swimming hole is the Florence Falls Campground with shady trees and a hot shower.
